'Clyde's' to offer Broadway rush tickets on TodayTix
Lynn Nottage's play, starring Uzo Aduba, will begin performances November 3.
Clyde's is serving up some rush tickets! Second Stage Theater's premiere of Clyde's, Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage's new play, will offer $35 same-day tickets on TodayTix. The rush program begins with the show's first performance on November 3, and the play opens November 23 at the Hayes Theater.
Clyde's rush tickets are available on the TodayTix app each performance day for that night's show. Users must download the app and "unlock" the rush program by sharing about the show on Facebook or Twitter. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at at 9 a.m. Users can set an alert on the app to be notified when rush tickets become available each morning. Clyde's stars Uzo Aduba as the titular truck stop sandwich shop owner, whose staff, all formerly incarcerated, dreams of leaving the shop to build a better life. Clyde doesn't make it easy, but the staff find hope and purpose in a shared quest: creating the perfect sandwich. Kate Whoriskey directs a cast that also includes Ron Cephas Jones, Reza Salazar, and Kara Young.
