After eight years of thrilling New York audiences with their spontaneously created musicals, two of them during a pandemic, the legendary improv group Vern really, really missed their friends. Fortunately for you, their friends are some of the most talented and hilarious comedians and musicians in NYC and beyond. Asylum NYC, opened in 2017, is an underground comedy club located in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. The venue is part of the national, Boston-based Improv Asylum company, which produces all types of comedy including sketch, stand-up, and improv. The venue hosts a rotating lineup of comics performing all these styles. Outside producers can also rent the space for shows like musical comedies.
