COCOON is an interactive new play written and directed by Kotryna Gesait. Analyzed through a philosophical and queer lens, COCOON explores the transcendent bonds of human connection. Challenging the audience on the constructs of love, gender and sexuality, the story captures universal shades of romance: love lost, found, broken, and transformed.
In this engaging new play, four stories intertwine to explore the binding universality of romance as it transcends binary understandings of gender and sexual self-identification.
Critics have called Cocoon "a standout example of intimate interactive theater done right."
This U.S. premiere of COCOON is produced by Ryan Ward and will begin its NYC run soon after its sister production begins performances at the No Vacancy Gallery at Melbourne Fringe 2022.
Featuring: Alanah Allen, Helen Farmer*, Jud Meyers*, Melinda Nanovsky, Erin Margaret Pettigrew*, and Ryan Ward*.
