Freestyle+ Celebrates Family Reunion Tickets

Freestyle+ Celebrates is a new monthly showcase featuring some of New York’s premiere improv hip hop talent. Created in partnership with the elegant Midnight Theater, each show picks a new theme to inspire freestyle rap, improvisation, and DJ sets. Freestyle+ Celebrates creates an inclusive space for a growing improv community, inviting audience members to join a freestyle cypher with the cast at the end of the show. The goal of the show is to build a welcome home for all music and improv fans, from Broadway stars to the merely improv-curious.

May 10th kicks off the music with Freestyle+ Celebrates Family Reunion! - an improv hip hop exploration of siblings, parents, and all the branches of the family tree. Freestyle+ welcomes members of our freestyle family from past classes and workshops, as well as anyone new to this improv party!

Freestyle+ uses music and improvisation to change how we think about mental fitness. From some of the minds behind Broadway’s Freestyle Love Supreme, Freestyle+ combines Tony-award-winning performers with science-backed strategies to inspire confidence and creativity in any audience. Freestyle+ puts the principles of improvisation into daily practice for individuals and beyond looking to build community, equity, and active mindfulness.

The cast for the May 10th performance includes Steph Rae, aka Mos Steph (co-Director, MC); Andrew Bancroft, aka Jelly Donut (co-Director, MC); Dizzy Senze, aka Dizzy (MC); Mel Rubin, aka Frames (MC, Beatboxer); David Bradshaw, aka BS (MC, Beatboxer); Camille Harris (Keys, Vocals); and Kahyle Braxton, aka Gedun (DJ).
