About CABARET at the Kit Kat Club

Wilkommen. Step into the Kit Kat Club for a Tony Award-winning production like no other. See American Idol's Adam Lambert and Moana's Auli'i Cravalho in the latest Broadway revival of John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Joe Masteroff's Cabaret! The award-winning production comes straight from London, directed by Rebecca Frecknall. Get Cabaret tickets on New York Theatre Guide.

In Berlin's Kit Kat Club, audiences — alongside the club's Emcee, performer Sally Bowles, writer Cliff Bradshaw, and more — can escape the world outside for someplace where "life is beautiful." But as the clubgoers' romances and careers collide with the rise of Nazism in Germany, they must choose whether to ignore it, face it — or join it.

The August Wilson Theatre completely transforms into the club for Cabaret on Broadway, with immersive design and pre-show entertainment in the lobby and the theatre. These elements set Frecknall's production apart in London, where it has run since 2021. Her Cabaret won seven Olivier Awards there, including Best Musical Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor in a Musical for Eddie Redmayne as the Emcee.

The Cabaret musical is already beloved, of course, having had three previous revivals since its Tony Award-winning Broadway premiere in 1966. The Oscar-winning 1972 film adaptation starring Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey further cemented Cabaret's place in theatre history, and the show includes some of Kander and Ebb's most iconic songs, including "Mein Herr," "Cabaret," "Wilkommen," and "Maybe This Time."
