Experience Breaking the Story off Broadway and enter the fractured world of Marina, a foreign war correspondent torn between her singular lifestyle abroad and a safer, more domestic one at home. Across her celebrated career, Marina has put her life on the line, armed only with a press badge, to shed light on the darkest wartorn areas around the globe.

A recent and bloody trip rattles her, leading Marina to contemplate staying home for good and, finally, settling down with her cameraman turned lover. As a lifetime achievement ceremony draws near, bringing her closest friends and family to town, Marina decides to elope, and try and reclaim her life — no matter how powerfully memories of war still shape it.

What’s more important, a lifelong love or a lifelong career — or can you have both? A dark comedy and fierce drama, Breaking the Story promises a singular theatrical event and a cutting portrait of one contemporary woman as her personal and professional lives collide.
