At Eureka Day, the Board of Directors values inclusion above all else — until a case of the mumps forces the entire community to reconsider the school’s progressive vaccine policy. As cases rise, the board realizes with outrage that they’ll have to, finally and funnily, come to a decision that is impossible to please everyone.

Written before COVID, the play continues to be ahead of its time — and hilarious as a school navigates a bumpy path forward. Audiences will see reflections of modern society, sometimes in alarming but always in uproarious ways. At Eureka Day, as in life, the personal gets political pretty quickly.

The play has enjoyed many laudatory reviews. Earning four stars in London Theatre, Spector’s “sharply comic and fascinatingly prescient play” traces “rich dramatic terrain and is incredibly funny.” Evening Standard wrote in a four-star review that the play is “a needle-sharp comedy that packs a smart and timely punch.”
