Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes Tickets

Stage and screen icon Hugh Jackman (X-Men, a Tony winner for The Boy from Oz) stars in Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes off Broadway alongside Ella Beatty (Appropriate, Ghosts). In Hannah Moscovitch's new play, Jon (Jackman) is a famous novelist, a charming university professor, and a middle-aged man staring down the end of his third marriage. Enter Annie (Beatty), who is nineteen, a star student, and, most importantly, a huge fan of Jon’s writing. An undeniable spark draws them closer together, but also into increasingly dangerous territory.

A new play about power, fandom, and the choices both parties are adult enough to make on their own, Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes is a sharp and relentless contemporary drama that will shake and surprise audiences.

After wowing audiences in The Music Man, Jackman returns to the New York stage. Ian Rickson directs this new play, a US premiere, that takes audiences down the most slippery of slopes and will have them questioning their preconceived notions throughout. The play is presented by Audible and Together, the new theatrical partnership led by Tony-winning producer Sonia Friedman and Jackman. The two are partnering on a series of plays, readings, panels, and workshops at Audible's Minetta Lane Theatre.
