R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) by Karel Capek, published in 1920, is a cautionary play, for which Capek invented the word "robot" (derived from the Czech word for forced labor). A scientist named Rossum discovers the secret of creating humanlike machines. But another scientist decides to make the robots more human. Years later, the robots, which were created to serve humans, have come to dominate them completely. But have the robots doomed themselves?
Battle Damage Theater is proud to present this Post-Punk inspired adaption of this science fiction stage classic, directed by Kimberly Flores.
