A Christmas Carol (the new musical) at the Sanford Meisne Theater

The Vortex Theater Company presents A Christmas Carol: the new musical, Created and adapted by Kris Thor and Joel Bravo (score) from Charles Dickens' Novel, at the Sanford Meisner Theater from 29 Nov - 22 Dec 2007.

A Christmas Carol: Explores Dickens' original themes of greed, social responsibility, and redemption within a contemporary setting. Not the aging misanthropic archetype, but rather a modern day twist on Scrooge -- a corporate philanthropist who must examine what it means to do good in a country facing environmental destruction and corporate domination.

Directed by Kris Thor, A Christmas Carol features Jason Trachtenburg (Scrooge), Mikey Barringer, Kelly Eubanks, Libby King, Deborah Knox, Julie LaMondola, Michael Martin, Joe Ornstein, Tracy Weller and Isaac Woofter. Live music is performed by Ian Everall, Dan Gower and Eddie Rapp.

The creative team comprises Sabrina Peric (sets and lighting) and Kylie Ward (costumes).
