Ali Louis Bourzgui, Myra Molloy to join 'Hadestown' Broadway cast
The actors will succeed current stars Carlos Valdes and Hailey Kilgore in the Tony Award-winning musical by Anaïs Mitchell, adapted from Greek mythology.
Wait for them, they're comin'! Ali Louis Bourzgui and Myra Molloy will join the cast of Hadestown on Broadway on May 6 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
Bourzgui is known for his Broadway-debut performance in the title role of The Who's Tommy in 2024. Molloy voiced the Thai version of Disney’s hit film Moana after winning Thailand’s Got Talent.
The actors will step into Hadestown's lead roles of Orpheus and Eurydice, replacing current stars Carlos Valdes and Hailey Kilgore, who play their final performances on May 4.
Continuing Hadestown Broadway cast members include Daniel Breaker as Hermes, Merle Dandridge as Persephone, Tom Hewitt as Hades, and Marla Louissant, Jessie Shelton, and Kay Trinidad as the Fates.
Created by Anaïs Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown retells the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, two lovers who take a dangerous journey to and from the underworld after Eurydice gets trapped there. On Broadway since 2019, the jazz and folk musical won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
