Amber Ardolino to join 'Titanique' Off-Broadway cast
The actress will replace current star Dee Roscioli in the role of Celine Dion in the award-winning musical parody of James Cameron's Titanic film.
She's setting sail on the Ship of Dreams! Amber Ardolino will join the cast of Titanique off Broadway beginning March 21 at the Daryl Roth Theatre.
Fast-rising Broadway star Ardolino is known for performing in the musicals A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical as Marcia Murphey, Back to the Future as Linda McFly, and Moulin Rouge! The Musical and Hamilton as an ensemble member.
In Titanique, she will replace Dee Roscioli in the role of Celine Dion; Roscioli plays her final performance March 16.
Current and continuing cast members include Max Jenkins as Jack, Cassadee Pope as Rose, Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Victor Garber, Callum Francis as Cal, Lisa Howard as The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Lea DeLaria as Ruth, Kyle Ramar Freeman as The Iceberg, Rae Davenport, Sara Gallo, Tess Marshall, and Barnaby Reiter. Additionally, Cassidy Stoner joins the ensemble as a background vocalist on March 25.
Playing to acclaim off Broadway since 2022, Titanique is a musical parody of James Cameron's landmark Titanic film featuring the hit songs of Celine Dion. The character of Dion narrates the show, retelling her own wacky version of what really happened to Jack and Rose on board. The musical is co-written by Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli, and Tye Blue, who also directs.
The show won the 2023 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical among other accolades. New York Theatre Guide's four-star Titanique review calls it "a boatload of campy fun."
