Winners may purchase up to two tickets for the following day's performance.
Hope you've saved up your nickels! The latest revival of American Buffalo, starring Laurence Fishburne, Darren Criss, and Sam Rockwell, will offer rush tickets throughout its Broadway run. David Mamet's play begins performances at the Circle in the Square Theatre March 22 ahead of an April 14 opening night, and runs through July 10.
A limited number of $35 rush tickets will be available each performance day on TodayTix. Users must download the TodayTix app and "unlock" the rush program beforehand by posting about it on social media. Each morning at 9 a.m., rush tickets will become available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis for that afternoon's and/or evening's show. Users can set an alert to be notified when the rush opens each day. Users can request up to two tickets each, and seating locations are subject to availability.
American Buffalo centers on the junk shop owner Donny (Fishburne), who sells a buffalo nickel for $90 only to discover it was worth much, much more. Determined to get his rightful share, he enlists his poker buddy Teach (Rockwell) and the gofer Bobby (Criss) to help him steal it back. The 2022 production is the third Broadway revival of Mamet's play about American greed, after productions in 1977, 1983, and 2008.
