Signature Theatre has announced Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser and Tony and Olivier Award nominee Brian J. Smith as the complete cast of Grangeville off Broadway, a new play by Samuel D. Hunter. Performances run at the Pershing Square Signature Center from February 4 to March 16.

Fraser won the 2023 Oscar for Best Actor for starring in The Whale, director Darren Aronofsky's film adaptation of another of Hunter's plays. His other film credits include Killers Of The Flower Moon and the Mummy franchise.

Smith is best known for starring in Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie on Broadway and in London's West End, earning award nominations in both cities for his performance. On screen, he appears in Matrix 4 and Sense8.

In Grangeville, Fraser and Smith play two estranged half-brothers, Jerry and Arnold, living thousands of miles apart, who tentatively reconnect when their mother falls sick. Over the phone and video chat, they try to bridge their social and physical distance from each other.

Jack Serio directs the production, which also features scenic design by dots, costume design by Ricky Reynoso, lighting design by Stacey Derosier, sound design by Chris Darbassie, and dramaturgy by John Baker.
