Casting set for 'The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse' off Broadway
The new musical by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, about the lesser-known story behind a famous paparazzi photo, begins performances in April.
The New Group has named the complete cast for its production of The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse off Broadway, a new musical playing at the Pershing Square Signatue Center this spring. Performances run from April 22 to June 1, with opening night on May 13.
The complete The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse cast includes Patrick Nathan Falk (Off-Broadway debut), Keri René Fuller (Six), Sara Gettelfinger (Water for Elephants), Luke Islam (America's Got Talent), Milly Shapiro (Hereditary), and Natalie Walker (The Big Gay Jamboree).
The show is written by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, directed by and developed with Rory Pelsue, and choreographed by Jack Ferver. The creative team also includes scenic designer Stephanie Osin Cohen, costume designer Cole McCarty, lighting designer Amith Chandrashaker, sound designers Megumi Katayama and Ben Truppin-Brown, vocal arrangers Breslin and Dan Schlosberg, and orchestrator and music director Schlosberg.
The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse takes its name from a 2006 New York Post article that ran alongside a paparazzi photo of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears, whom the Post called "the three bimbos of the apocalypse." But that famous photo also includes a fourth woman, a one-hit wonder named Coco, and three Generation Z internet sleuths go on a quest to uncover her story.
