Complete 'Harmony' Broadway cast set
The musical by Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman, based on the story of a real-life musical group, begins performances at the Barrymore Theatre in October.
This is music to our ears! The new Broadway musical Harmony has set its complete cast. Performances begin October 18 ahead of a November 13 opening night at the Barrymore Theatre.
Newly announced cast members include Allison Semmes as Josephine Baker, Andrew O’Shanick as Standartenfϋhrer, and ensemble members Zak Edwards, Dan Hoy, Bruce Landry, RhonniRose Mantilla, Daniel Z. Miller, Benjamin H. Moore, Matthew Mucha, Constantine Pappas, Kayleen Seidl, Kyla Stone, Bronwyn Tarboton, Kate Wesler, Stuart Zagnit, and Lee Zarrett.
They join previously announced cast members Chip Zien as Rabbi, Julie Benko as Ruth, Sierra Boggess as Mary, Sean Bell as Bobby, Danny Kornfeld as Young Rabbi, Zal Owen as Harry, Eric Peters as Erich, Blake Roman as Chopin, and Steven Telsey as Lesh.
Harmony features songs by Barry Manilow and a book and lyrics by Bruce Sussman. The musical tells the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, a German Jewish choral group whose rise to fame was rocked by the onset of the Nazi regime.
The show premiered off Broadway in 2022 with multiple members of the Broadway company, including Zien, Boggess, and all six Harmonists. Our critic's four-star review of Harmony reads, "Harmony hits all the right notes."
