'Cost of Living' to offer Broadway rush tickets on TodayTix
The show begins performances September 13.
See Cost of Living at a low cost! The Broadway premiere of Martyna Majok's Pulitzer-winning play will offer rush tickets on TodayTix for its entire run. The show begins performances at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre September 13 and runs through October 30.
A limited number of $35 tickets will be available on the TodayTix app the day of each performance. Beginning at 10 a.m., users can claim these tickets on a first-come, first-served basis for that afternoon or evening's show. Before their chosen performance date, users must "unlock" the rush program by sharing it on social media, and they can set an alert to be notified when rush tickets are available each day. Each person can request one or two tickets, which are subject to availability.
Cost of Living follows Ani, a double leg amputee, and John, a man with cerebral palsy, and their respective caregivers. Separately, as each pair's relationship develops, they learn from each other and the lines blur between who is caring for whom. The pair's stories also come together in a twist of fate.
MTC premiered the show off Broadway in 2017, and three members of that production — stars Katy Sullivan and Gregg Mozgala, and director Jo Bonney — return for the Broadway premiere. Cost of Living also stars Tony nominee Kara Young and Dexter star David Zayas.
