Debra Messing, Constance Wu join cast of 'Shit. Meet. Fan.' off Broadway
Writer/director Robert O'Hara, a Tony Award nominee for Slave Play, adapted this satirical play from the acclaimed Italian film Perfect Strangers.

Play, meet cast! MCC Theater has set initial casting for the world premiere of Shit. Meet. Fan., a world-premiere play written and directed by Tony Award nominee Robert O'Hara (Slave Play). Performances run from October 10 to November 17, and opening night is October 28.
The cast includes Garret Dillahunt (Fear the Walking Dead), Genevieve Hannelius (Along for the Ride), Tony nominee Billy Magnussen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), Emmy winner Debra Messing (Will and Grace), Tramell Tillman (Severance), and Golden Globe nominee Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians).
Additional casting has yet to be announced.
Alongside O'Hara on the creative team are set designer Clint Ramos, costume designer Sarafina Bush, lighting designer Alex Jainchill, and sound designer Palmer Hefferan.
Adapted from Paolo Genovese's 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers, Shit. Meet. Fan. follows a group of close-knit adult friends playing a party game: Everyone must leave their phones face-up and read aloud every message that comes through. As the cocktails flow, outrageous secrets emerge.
