'Hangmen' offers Broadway rush and lottery tickets
Performances begin at the Golden Theatre on April 8.
Hang around the Golden Theatre and you might snag tickets! Hangmen will offer in-person rush tickets, as well as a digital lottery, for its Broadway run. Martin McDonagh's play begins performances April 8 ahead of an April 21 opening night, and plays a 10-week engagement through June 18.
Rush tickets will be offered for $37 at the Golden Theatre box office the day of each performance, beginning at 10 a.m. Each person can purchase up to two tickets for that day's show on a first-come, first-served basis. Rush tickets are subject to availability and may not be offered at every performance. Seating locations are assigned at the discretion of the box office.
In addition, Hangmen has a digital lottery for $41 tickets. The lottery is open for entries the day before each performance from midnight to 3 p.m. At that time, winners will be notified and have six hours to purchase up to two tickets for the next day's performance.
Hangmen is a dark comedy set in 1963, when hanging has just been abolished in England. The country's second-most famous executioner, Harry, suddenly gets tons of visitors to his pub, eager to hear his reaction to the news. A mysterious stranger from London also arrives with different motives than the rest. McDonagh's play won Best New Play at the 2016 Olivier Awards and premiered off Broadway in 2018.
