'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' names new Broadway cast
The stage sequel to J. K. Rowling's book and film series celebrated its sixth anniversary at Broadway's Lyric Theatre, and new actors will join in November.
Accio actors! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has named new Broadway casting, with multiple principal and ensemble cast members joining the play at the Lyric Theatre on November 12.
New to the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast are Matthew James Thomas as Harry Potter, Sarah Killough as Ginny Potter, Alex Serino as Albus Potter, Rachel Christopher as Hermione Granger, Ayanna Nicole Thomas as Rose Granger-Weasley, and Kristen Martin as Delphi Diggory.
Continuing lead actors include Daniel Fredrick as Ron Weasley, Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy, and Erik Christopher Peterson as Scorpius Malfoy.
New ensemble members include Megan Byrne, Maxim Chlumecky, James Cribbins, Janae Hammond, Sophie Hearn, Zachary Lindberg, Jay Mack, Bradley Patchett, Dan Plehal, Isaac Phaman Reynolds*, Allie Re, Khadija Tariyan, Julius Williams, and Riley Thad Young.
Continuing with the production are Chadd Alexander, John Alix, Ted Deasy, Kira Fath, Gary-Kayi Fletcher, Eleasha Gamble, Logan James Hall, Abbi Hawk, Chance Marshaun Hill, Alexandra Peter, Kira Player, Gabrielle Reid, Stephen Spinella, and Tom Stephens.
A stage sequel to the J. K. Rowling's bestselling book series and its film adaptations, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child follows the next generation of wizards — Harry's son Albus and Draco's son Scorpius — on a time-traveling adventure.
