You're gonna hear her roar! Tony Award nominee Jeannette Bayardelle will join the cast of & Juliet on Broadway, playing her first performance June 29 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

Bayardelle will replace Charity Angél Dawson, who is taking a temporary leave of absence, in the role of Angélique. She was last seen on Broadway in Girl From the North Country (Tony nomination) and in two new musicals across the U.S.: Gun and Powder in New Jersey and The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical in California.

The & Juliet cast also includes Maya Boyd as Juliet, David Bedella as Lance, Betsy Wolfe as Anne Hathaway, Austin Scott as Shakespeare, Justin David Sullivan as May, Ben Jackson Walker as Romeo, and Philippe Arroyo as Francois.

Written by Schitt's Creek Emmy nominee David West Read, & Juliet imagines what the title heroine would do if she didn't die at the end of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Shakespeare's wife takes the quill and sends Juliet off on an adventure to find a second chance at life and love.

The show features a score of 30 pop hits made famous by Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, and more.
