Jordan Fisher to star in 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' on Broadway

Jordan Fisher recently starred in the New York City Center Encores! production of Urinetown. He will reunite with his Hadestown co-star Solea Pfeiffer in Moulin Rouge!.

Broadway performer Jordan Fisher will return to Broadway as Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre this spring. John Cardoza, who currently stars in the role, will play his final performance on April 13, with Fisher taking over from April 15.

Fisher, who recently starred in the New York City Center Encores! production of Urinetown, will perform opposite Solea Pfeiffer as Satine, reuniting the pair since their star turns as Orpheus and Eurydice in Hadestown. Fisher and Pfeiffer will also be joined by Grammy Award winner Boy George who returns to the show as Harold Zidler from March 28.

Fisher's Broadway credits include the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Dear Evan Hansen, and Hamilton.

Based on Baz Luhrmann's beloved 2001 movie, starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregory, Moulin Rouge! tells the story of a a penniless writer who falls in love with a showgirl.
