Jordan Litz joins 'Wicked' Broadway cast
Jordan Litz will join the Broadway company in the role of Fiyero on May 16.
Jordan Litz is dancing through life! Litz will join the Broadway company of Wicked in the role of Fiyero, beginning performances on May 16. Litz arrives to the Gershwin Theatre directly from the Wicked national tour, where he played Fiyero for more than a year and a half. He will succeed James D. Gish in the role.
Litz joins Alyssa Fox (Elphaba), McKenzie Kurtz (Glinda), John Dossett (the Wizard), Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk (Madame Morrible), William Youmans (Doctor Dillamond), Kimber Elayne Sprawl (Nessarose), and Michael Wartella (Boq). Litz’s onstage credits include Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Legally Blonde, and several Walt Disney World productions.
The Wicked musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, is based on Gregory Maguire’s novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. The musical follows two witches from the Land of Oz — one “good” and one “wicked” — and chronicles their unlikely friendship. The sensational show, the fourth longest-running show on Broadway, explores Oz long before Dorothy arrives with musical hits including “Defying Gravity” and “Popular.”
