Lincoln Center Theater to premiere 'The Nosebleed' off Broadway
The play is written and directed by Aya Ogawa.
Lincoln Center Theater is premiering Aya Ogawa's play The Nosebleed at the Claire Tow Theater this summer. Performances run for six weeks, from July 16 to August 28, and opening night is August 1.
The Nosebleed, also directed by Ogawa, is an autobiographical play about their difficult relationship with their now-deceased father. The play explores forgiveness and the generational gap through a series of funny and emotional vignettes, and explores how Ogawa's relationship with their father now informs their experience as a mother.
Ogawa herself is also in the cast alongside Drae Campbell, Ashil Lee, Saori Tsukada, and Kaili Y. Turner. The creative team includes set and costume designer Jian Jung, lighting designer Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew, and sound designer Megumi Katayama.
The Nosebleed is part of LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's program that showcases new works by emerging artists.
