Michael R. Jackson's 'White Girl in Danger' sets complete cast
Second Stage Theater and Vineyard Theatre present the new Off-Broadway musical.
White Girl in Danger, the new musical from Pulitzer and Tony Award winner Michael R. Jackson, has set its complete cast. The show, presented by Vineyard Theatre and Second Stage Theater at the Tony Kiser Theater, begins performances March 14 ahead of an April 10 opening night.
Latoya Edwards leads the cast as Keesha Gibbs alongside Liz Lark Brown as Diane W/Barbara W/Judith W, Kayla Davion as Florence, Jennifer Fouché as Abilene, Morgan Siobhan Green as Caroline, Molly Hager as Megan White, Vincent Jamal Hooper as Tarik Blackwell, James Jackson Jr. as Clarence, Tarra Conner Jones as Nell Gibbs, Alyse Alan Louis as Maegan Whitehall, Lauren Marcus as Meagan Whitehead, and Eric William Morris as Matthew S/Scott M/Zack Paul Gosselar.
LaDonna Burns, Melessie Clark, Alexis Cofield, Shane Donovan, Jon-Michael Reese, and Natalie Walker are understudies.
White Girl in Danger is directed by Tony nominee Lileana Blain-Cruz and choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly.
White Girl in Danger takes place in the soap opera town Allwhite, where the white characters get the juiciest plotlines and Black characters remain in the "Blackground." Keesha Gibbs decides to insert herself into the center of the action, but with an Allwhite Killer on the loose, does she really want to be in the spotlight?
Creator Jackson is best known for the multi-award-winning musical A Strange Loop, on Broadway through January 15. Multiple members of the A Strange Loop team reunite for White Girl in Danger, including choreographer Kelly and actor Jackson.
