'Plaza Suite' announces complete Broadway cast
The play, with Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, begins performances February 25.
More guests are checking in at the Hudson Theatre! The complete cast for Plaza Suite, starring the previously announced Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker, has been set. Performances begin February 25 ahead of a March 28 opening night.
Broderick and Parker will be joined by Danny Bolero as The Waiter, Drama Desk Award nominee Molly Ranson as Jean McCormick/Mimsey Hubley, and Eric Wiegand as The Bellhop/Borden Eisler. Tony Award winner Michael McGrath and Tony Award nominee Erin Dilly are standbys for Broderick and Parker, respectively, and Laurie Veldheer and Cesar J. Rosado serve as understudies.
The revival of Neil Simon's farce stars Broderick and Parker as three different couples, one in each of three acts, all occupying Suite 719 of New York's famed Plaza Hotel. One long-married couple returns to their honeymoon suite to try and rekindle their waning love, while the second act sees a movie producer try to rekindle a flame with an old friend. A third couple frantically tries to coax their daughter out of the bathroom on her wedding day.
Plaza Suite first opened on Broadway in 1968 and ran for close to three years. The 2022 production, originally scheduled for spring 2020, marks the play's first Broadway revival.
