Talley's Folly extends run by one week

The Roundabout Theatre Company's Off-Broadway revival of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning play Talley's Folly, starring three-time Tony Award nominee Danny Burstein and Sarah Paulson ("American Horror Story"), with direction by Michael Wilson ('The Best Man,' 'Dividing the Estate'), has extended its run by one week and will now play through to 12 May 2013.

Talley's Folly opened at the Laura Pels Theatre on 5 Mar 2013, following previews from 8 Feb 2013, and was originally scheduled to close on on 05 May 2013.

Talley's Folly: At the end of World War II, Matt Friedman (Danny Burstein), a Jewish immigrant who has spent his life keeping others at a distance, returns to the small town where he first met Sally Talley (Sarah Paulson). Nothing like her conservative Protestant family and neighbors, Sally is a nurse with deep misgivings about the country's future. After a lifetime of believing they'll never truly belong in the world around them, Matt has worked up the courage to ask Sally for her hand, and convince her that they do belong together.

The design team includes Jeff Cowie (Sets), David Woolard (Costumes) and Rui Rita (Lights).

Talley's Folly premiered off-Broadway in 1979 at Circle Repertory Theatre and moved to Broadway in 1980. Lanford Wilson received a Tony Award nomination for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
