The Off-Broadway musical The Big Gay Jamboree will play its final performance at the Orpheum Theatre on December 15. At the time of closing, it will have played 103 total performances.

The Big Gay Jamboree features a book, music, and lyrics by Marla Mindelle, one of the writers of the award-winning 2022 Off-Broadway parody musical Titanique. She co-wrote the book with Jonathan Parks-Ramage and the songs with Philip Drennen. Additionally, the show is produced by Margot Robbie's LuckyChap, the production company that also presented Barbie.

Mindelle also stars in The Big Gay Jamboree as Stacey, a woman who inexplicably wakes up inside a Golden Age Broadway musical after getting blackout drunk. She meets other characters in the story who want to escape, and their quest to find a way out is underscored with modern pop culture jokes and references to classic musicals.

"As Mindelle and her collaborators [...] subvert, satirize, and queer these tropes, they emerge with a show that's utterly hilarious and with all the vibrant charm of classic Broadway intact," New York Theatre Guide's review reads. "This is one show you won't want to escape."

The cast of The Big Gay Jamboree is also led by, alongside Mindelle, Alex Moffat as Keith, Paris Nix as Clarence, Constantine Rousouli as Bert, and Natalie Walker as Flora.
