'The Counter' sets Off-Broadway cast

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the world-premiere play, written by Meghan Kennedy and directed by David Cromer, for a limited run beginning in September.

Roundabout Theatre Company has set the complete cast for its upcoming production of Meghan Kennedy's play The Counter off Broadway. Performances run at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre from September 19 to November 17. Opening night is October 9.

The cast includes Anthony Edwards as Paul, Susannah Flood as Katie, and Amy Warren as Peg.

Additionally, alongside previously announced director David Cromer, the creative team includes set designer Walt Spangler, costume designer Sarah Laux, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, and sound designer Christopher Darbassie.

The Counter is a world-premiere play set at a diner, where a waitress and a daily customer develop an unlikely friendship. However, their relationship shifts and secrets come out when he asks her for a shocking favor.
