'Thoughts of a Colored Man' to host digital lottery
The show begins performances at the Golden Theatre on October 1.
Thoughts of a Colored Man will offer digital lottery tickets for all performances, beginning with its first performance October 1. Keenan Scott II's play is being staged at the Golden Theatre, with an official opening night set for October 13.
The lottery will launch on September 30. The day before each performance, the lottery will be open for entries between 12 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the next day's show. Lottery tickets will be $39.
Scott's play takes place over the course of one day in Brooklyn, when seven Black men's lives intersect. Through spoken word, dance, music, and poetry, audiences get a glimpse into these men's hopes, dreams, and triumphs. Both Scott and director Steve H. Broadnax III are making their Broadway debuts with Thoughts of a Colored Man.
Thoughts of a Colored Man tickets are on sale now.
