Oh, Tituss! Tituss Burgess will be the next actor to play the title role of Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary! on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre. He will perform for three weeks only, from March 18 to April 6.

Burgess, a six-time Emmy Award nominee, is known for his Broadway performances in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Guys and Dolls, and The Little Mermaid, plus screen roles in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Schmigadoon!

In Oh, Mary!, an absurdist historical comedy written by and originally starring Cole Escola, Burgess will play an alcoholic, miserable Mary Todd Lincoln desperate to be a cabaret star. He will take over the role from current star Betty Gilpin, who plays her final performance March 16.

Oh, Mary! premiered off Broadway in 2024, winning the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Play and multiple honors for Escola. Both the Off-Broadway premiere and Broadway transfer, under the direction of Sam Pinkleton, received critical acclaim.

The current cast of Oh, Mary! also features Phillip James Brannon as Mary’s Husband, Chris Renfro as Mary’s Teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone, and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
