The Drama League Awards were first awarded back in 1922 and were formalised as such in 1935, becoming the oldest theatrical honors in the United States. They remain the only major theatergoer awards chosen together by both industry professionals and audience members — specifically, by the thousands of Drama League members nationwide who attend Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.
Alex Brightman shot to Broadway stardom after originating the role of Dewey Finn in School of Rock - The Musical and earning his first Tony Award nomination in 2016. His other Broadway credits include Wicked, Matilda The Musical, Big Fish, and, of course, his current Tony-nominated role as the titular character of Beetlejuice.
Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer is a three-time Drama Desk Award nominee, currently starring as Delia in Beetlejuice. She has previously appeared in the Broadway productions of Something Rotten!, Elf, Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair, Legally Blonde, and Hairspray, as well as the National Tour of Urinetown.
Beetlejuice Tickets are available now for performances through June 6, 2020.
