‘Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes’ to return for the holidays
The world-famous show is back for another year.
It may be the height of summer, but that doesn't mean you can't feel the Christmas cheer. The Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes is back at Radio City Music Hall in 2021, with performances from November 5 - Jan. 2, 2022.
The Christmas Spectacular was cancelled in 2020, the first time in 87 years. "After a year none of us will ever forget, we all need a little joy - and there's nothing like the Rockettes and the Christmas Spectacular to get us into the holiday spirit and make the season unforgettable" said James Dolan, executive chairman and CEO of MSG Entertainment.
The Radio City Rockettes lead the Christmas Spectacular, which is an iconic dance show starring over 140 cast members to celebrate the best of New York's holiday season. Since Christmas Spectacular was first at Radio City Music Hall in 1933, over 69 million people have seen the Rockettes and their musical numbers including "The Living Nativity" and "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers."
In a review of Christmas Spectacular for New York Theatre Guide, Tom Millward said: "The Rockettes, as ever, remain the epitome of dance troupe perfection and dazzle... if you can embrace the child within, you can embrace the Christmas Spectacular."
