The Diorama to debut at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre

Merlin Productions will produce the Premiere of Jennifer Brown Stone and David S. Stone's new comedy play The Diorama, directed by David S. Stone, beginning performances at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre on 28 May 2014, with an official opening set for 30 May 2014 and continuing its limited engagement through 14 Jun 2014.

Synopsis: 'The Diorama is a new offbeat romantic comedy about love, igloos and the fine line between artistry and insanity. When her artist sister Cecily invades her NYC apartment, Wall Street lawyer Janey gets more than she bargained for when Cecily begins constructing a life size igloo. While the two sisters seek a sense of belonging - either in a relationship or a safe place to call home - they are haunted by the tragedies of the past. Along the way they teach each other about life, love and happiness.'

The cast of The Diorama will feature Alberto Bonilla, Hunter Canning, Bob Greenberg, Victoria Mack and Susan Louise O'Connor.

The creative team behind The Diorama features choreography by Wendy Seyb, scenic design by Jen Varbalow, costumes by Sidney Shannon, lighting by Joe Doran, and sound design by Nick Simone.

Bios:

Alberto Bonilla is an actor and director who has appeared in such films as 'Cop Out' (2010), 'My Best Friend's Girl' (2008) and 'Sleepwalk with Me' (2012).

Hunter Canning made his Broadway debut in 'War Horse' in 2012. He has also appeared in the films 'The Exploding Girl' (2009) and 'Whatever This Is.' (2013).

Bob Greenberg's theatrical credits include 'A Modest Suggestion' and 'The Jazz Singer'.

Victoria Mack made her Broadway debut as Vanda in 'Venus in Fur' in 2011. Her Off-Broadway credits include 'Flight' (Lucille Lortel Theatre) and 'A Little Journey' (Mint Theater). Her film credits include 'A Song in the Shell' (2012), 'Love and Adventure in New York' (2004) and 'The Letter' (2012).

Susan Louise O'Connor made her Broadway debut as Edith in 'Blithe Spirit' (2009). Her Off-Broadway credits include 'Desperate Writers' (Union Square Theatre) and 'Walk Two Moons' (Lucille Lortel Theatre). She is also known for her TV role as Lucy in 'Lucy Knows Love' (2013).

Jennifer Brown Stone (Playwright) is a producer, dramaturg, actor and playwright. She was the Associate Producer on Broadway's 'Josephine' and has produced many regional shows including 'Fefu and Her Friends', 'Broadway Cabaret. As an actor, she has performed in 'Big River', 'Urinetown', 'West Side Story', 'Guys and Dolls', 'Robber Bridegroom', 'Five Women Wearing the Same Dress', and 'Evita'.

David S. Stone (Director/Playwright) produced 'Frankenstein the Musical' Off-Broadway with Hunter Foster and Christiane Noll. Other directing credits include 'Juliet's Confession Monologue Slam', 'Brownstone Theatre Holiday Cabaret 2012', and 'Brownstone Holiday Cabaret 2013'. Mr. Stone is a Member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and has been an Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards since 2009.
