About The Roommate

Get The Roommate tickets to see two entertainment icons, Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone, co-star in this new comedy from Jen Silverman. Directed by Jack O’Brien (winner of a Special Tony Award For Lifetime Achievement), The Roommate will run at the Booth Theatre this fall and is one of the buzziest new plays of the season. The Roommate tickets are available now.

In The Roommate on Broadway, Sharon’s never had a roommate before. In fact, even as she’s aging, there’s a lot this woman’s never done, but Robyn’s about to change all that, ushering in a new stage in Sharon’s life. A bristling new comedy, The Roommate shatters expectations with its witty and profound portrait of a blossoming intimacy between two women from vastly different backgrounds, as they navigate the complexities of identity, morality, and the promise of reinvention, no matter your age. Being bad never felt so good as it does in this riveting one-act about second acts.

Patti LuPone recently took home another Tony Award for her imperious performance as Joanne in the revival of Company; known for her musical theatre roles on Broadway, including in Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, Evita, and War Paint, LuPone has stated that at this stage in her career, she is looking to do more plays and has been hungry to work with female artists. Now, the legend, much like Robyn and Sharon in the play, begins a new chapter and returns to Broadway, an artistic home she has dominated and called home for decades.

Mia Farrow last appeared on Broadway ten years ago, so this marks a welcome return for the stage vet and Golden Globe Award-winning actress who is also celebrated for her screen work, including for Rosemary’s Baby, Alice, and The Purple Rose of Cairo. Get tickets to The Roommate now.
