Mark Strong stars as Oedipus in Oedipus on Broadway in fall 2025 at Studio 54.

Mark Strong was born in 1963 in London. He is best known for his onscreen roles in in The Imitation Game alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, as well as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Strong’s theatre career started in 1997, where he played Biff in Death of a Salesman at London's National Theatre. He went on to receive a nomination for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role for performing in Heartlands. He then went on to play Rab in Frankenstein and in Men Should Weep both playing at the National Theatre.

In 2015, he won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in A View from the Bridge, where he played the role of Eddie Carbone. He later played the role on Broadway, where he received nominations for Best Actor in a Play at the Drama Desk Awards and the Tony Awards.
