2024 Tony Award nominees announced
Find out which plays and musicals are nominated for 2024 Tony Awards, which will take place on June 16 at the David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center.
The 2024 Tony Award nominations have been announced. On April 30, past Tony winners Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Renée Elise Goldsberry announced the nominations for this year's Tonys ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, June 16 at the David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center.
The Tony Awards celebrate the best plays and musicals of the Broadway season each year. Thirty-five shows were eligible for this year's Tony Awards, all of which opened between April 28, 2023 and April 25, 2024. Of them, the musical Hell's Kitchen and the play Stereophonic led the nominations with 13 each, followed by the musical The Outsiders with 12. All three were nominated for Best Musical/Play, respectively.
Of note, Stereophonic's 13 nominations make it the most nominated non-musical play in Tony Awards history, beating out Slave Play, the previous record holder with 12.
