Derren Brown to make Broadway debut at the Cort Theatre
The British magician will bring his latest production titled Secret to the Cort Theatre for a limited engagement from September 6, 2019.
Following his Off-Broadway debut with Atlantic Theater Company in 2017, British superstar Derren Brown will make officially make his Broadway debut, conjuring illusions that defy belief at the Cort Theatre this fall.
Entitled Derren Brown: Secret, the production will see Brown bring his unique brand of mind reading, persuasion and psychological illusions to Broadway, entrancing audiences with a spellbinding experience. The show will encourage audience members to take a closer look at the stories and beliefs that guide our lives and daily occurrences.
First performed in New York in 2017, Secret went on to win the 2018 Drama Desk Award for "Unique Theatrical Experience."
Derren Brown: Secret is scheduled to begin previews at the Cort Theatre on September 6, 2019, ahead of an official opening on September 15. The production will run for a 17-week limited engagement through January 4, 2020.
Tickets for Secret will go on sale on June 28, 2019.
Secret stars Derren Brown, in a production co-written by himself, Andy Nyman and Andrew O'Connor, with direction by Nyman and O' Connor. The production will feature scenic design by Takeshi Kata, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Jill BC Du Boff, projection design by Caite Hevner and is produced by J.J. Abrams, Thomas Kail, and Jeffrey Seller.
