'Drowning In Denmark' at Center Stage
Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company present Drowning In Denmark, an action-adventure/horror sequel to William Shakespeare's Hamlet, playing at Center Stage from the 24 - 27 Aug 2005
Drowning In Denmark, by Qui Nguyen & Robert Ross Parker, is the Vampire Cowboys' self-created action-adventure/horror sequel to William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Set five years after the events of the original, the play follows the story of a newly resurrected Ophelia and her quest to save Denmark from the impending threat of an all-out zombie infestation that's currently plaguing all of Europe. This dissection of Shakespeare skewers the worlds of sci-fi, horror, and musicals while providing fast-paced Kung Fu fights.
The cast, directed by Robert Ross Parker, includes Christian T. Chan, Caitlyn Darr, Nathan Lemoine, Tom Myers, Andrea Marie Smith, Christi Waldon, & Temar Underwood.
Drowning In Denmark has fight direction by Qui Nguyen and original music by Dan Deming.
The FIRST BITE SERIES is Vampire Cowboys' developmental series where original scripts are created and presented to an audience for the first time. The series is an important step in the developmental process of a Vampire Cowboys show, and will allow the audience to give the artists feedback that will shape the final production of the play.
