In addition, Zoe Glick stars as Sarah in this adaptation of Sarah Silverman's memoir.
Atlantic Theater Company's world-premiere production of The Bedwetter, a new musical, has found its cast. The show is an adaptation of Emmy Award-winning comedian Sarah Silverman's same-named memoir. Performances begin on April 30, and opening night is May 23.
The principal cast stars Zoe Glick as Sarah, along with Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth as Nana and Caissie Levy (Frozen, Caroline, or Change) as Beth Ann. The principal cast also includes Ashley Blanchet as Miss New Hampshire, Rick Crom as Dr. Riley, Charlotte Elizabeth Curtis as Ally, Darren Goldstein as Donald, Charlotte MacLeod as Abby, Ellyn Marie Marsh as Mrs. Dembo, Margot Weintraub as Amy, and Emily Zimmerman as Laura. Curtis, Weintraub, and Zimmerman are making their Off-Broadway debuts.
The Bedwetter is a semiautobiographical musical based on Silverman's 10-year-old self, who has a major secret (it's revealed in the show's title). Silverman has co-written the book with Drama Desk Award winner Joshua Harmon, playwright of shows like Bad Jews and Prayer for the French Republic, currently running off Broadway. She is also a co-lyricist with the late Grammy and Emmy winner Adam Schlesinger, who also wrote the music.
Anne Kauffman directs, and Brian Easley choreographs. The creative team also includes scenic designer Laura Jellinek, costume designer Kaye Voyce, lighting designer Japhy Weideman, sound designer Kai Harada, projection designer Lucy Mackinnon, music director Henry Aronson, music superviser and coordinator Dean Sharenow, orchestrator David Chase, hair and wig designer Tom Watson, and dialect coach Kate Wilson.
