The flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and the temperatures are rising: Spring has arrived in New York City. With locals and tourists alike flocking outdoors, there are enough events happening in NYC this April to take advantage of spring. The annual NYC Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival takes place on April 5, a tradition that dates back to the 1870s and sees attendees donning their best bonnets — many of which are colorful and beautifully over the top. Or, catch the cherry blossoms blooming in places like Central Park and Little Island. If you happen to be out on April 14, stop by any Ben & Jerry’s location for a free cone.
