About St. Ann's Warehouse

St. Ann's Warehouse was initially known as Arts at St. Ann's, located at the site of the former Church of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity on Montague Street in Brooklyn. Early productions were typically classical music performances.

In 2001, the theatre received its current name and moved to an old spice milling factory in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood. The venue became known as "the intersection of theatre and rock 'n' roll," showcasing rock concerts as well as avant-garde theatre performances that included musical works, adaptations of classics, and puppetry.

After St. Ann's Warehouse staged an outdoor performance of Macbeth in a tobacco warehouse in DUMBO in 2014, the institution made that venue its permanent home.
