2022 Tony winners announced
Find out who took home prizes at Broadway's biggest night.
The 2022 Tony Awards ceremony has wrapped at Radio City Music Hall, and this year's wins were broadcast on CBS from 8-11 p.m. A Strange Loop and The Lehman Trilogy took home the coveted Best Musical and Best Play awards, respectively, and The Lehman Trilogy and Best Musical Revival winner Company were the winningest shows, with five awards each.
A Strange Loop led the nominations this year with 11. The musicals MJ and Paradise Square followed with 10, and The Lehman Trilogy was the most-nominated play with 8.
Oscar winner and past Tony nominee Ariana DeBose hosts this year's ceremony, which celebrates the past 75 years of Broadway excellence in honor of the Tonys' own 75th anniversary. An additional hour of pre-show content, hosted by Darren Criss (in the Tony-nominated American Buffalo) and Julianne Hough (in the Tony-nominated POTUS), was streamed on Paramount+. Dozens of past Tony winners and revered Broadway stars have presented awards and performed during the event.
