Following acclaimed runs at London's Old Vic, this production of A Christmas Carol, adapted by Tony Award winner Jack Thorne, the playwright behind the global phenomenon of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and directed by Tony Award winner Matthew Warchus, whose recent Broadway credits include Groundhog Day and Matilda The Musical, will begin previews on November 7, 2019. An official opening is set for November 20, with the Broadway run coming to a close on January 5, 2020.

This magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story features dazzling staging, moving storytelling and 12 of the most cherished Christmas carols, including "Joy to the World," "Silent Night," and "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear.""

Taking on the central role of Ebenezer Scrooge will be Campbell Scott, who is perhaps best known for his role as Mark Usher on Netflix's "House of Cards." Mr. Scott last appeared on Broadway as Lloyd Dallas in Roundabout Theatre Company's 2016 revival of Noises Off. His other Broadway credits include Ah, Wilderness! (1988), A Long Day's Journey Into Night (1988), The Real Thing (1984), and The Queen and the Rebels (1982), and his notable screen credits include "Royal Pains," "The Sheltering Sky," "Damages," The Amazing Spider-Man," and "The Amazing Spide-Man 2."

Additional casting will be announced shortly.
