Additional casting confirmed for Second Stage Theater's Mary Page Marlowe
Second Stage Theater's New York premiere of Tracy Letts' Mary Page Marlowe begins performances on June 19, 2018 at the Tony Kiser Theater.
Second Stage Theater has now announced additional casting for the upcoming New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize & Tony Award winner Tracy Letts' Mary Page Marlowe, directed by Obie & Drama Desk Award winner Lila Neugebauer, which will begin previews at 2ST's Tony Kiser Theater on June 19, 2018, before an official opening on July 12.
Mia Sinclair Jenness and Kellie Overbey will play the title character in various stages of her life, joining previously announced cast members Emmy Award winner and "Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany, Obie Award winner Susan Pourfar, Emma Geer, and Tony Award winner Blair Brown, who originated her role in Steppenwolf's world premiere production in 2016.
The cast also includes Grace Gummer (as Roberta Marlowe), Kayli Carter (as Wendy Gilbert), Audrey Corsa (as Connie), Marcia DeBonis (as Shrink), Ryan Foust (as Louis Gilbert), Tess Frazer (as Lorna), Brian Kerwin (as Andy), Maria Elena Ramirez (as Nurse), Elliot Villar (as Ben), and Gary Wilmes (as Dan).
Synopsis: "If you looked back on eleven moments from your life, would you recognize yourself, or would you see a stranger? Mary Page Marlowe is a seemingly ordinary accountant from Ohio who has experienced pain and joy, success and failure. In this sweeping but intimate play, Tracy Letts gives us a haunting portrait of a complex woman, demonstrating how a series of forgotten moments can add up to one memorable life."
The creative team behind Mary Page Marlowe has also been announced and features scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Brandon Wolcott.
Second Stage Theater's 2017-2018 season also includes its inaugural Broadway productions at The Hayes Theater: Kenneth Lonergan's Lobby Hero, starring Chris Evans and Michael Cera (which continues through to May 13, 2018) and Young Jean Lee's Straight White Men, starring Armie Hammer and Tom Skerritt (from June 29 through to September 9, 2018).
