Signature Theatre's Artistic Director Paige Evans and Executive Director Harold Wolpert have announced shows in the 2021-2022 season. The season will include rescheduled performances originally billed for spring 2020, as well as world premieres until spring 2022.

"It feels especially exciting to announce the artists who will usher in Signature's 30th Anniversary Season" said Paige Evans. Harold Wolpert said, "While theatre as we once knew it continues to undergo massive changes, Signature's mission remains the same. We will always live up to our commitment to our Resident Playwrights while doing everything in our power to make sure their work is accessible to all."

The season will begin with the world premiere of Infinite Life, written and directed by the Pulitzer Prize-winning Annie Baker. Staged at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, the production will look at what illness does to the body, especially when there is no end in sight. Infinite Life runs from October 5 - November 7.

The world premiere of Samuel D. Hunter's A Case for the Existence of God will also be staged at the Irene Diamond Stage. Set at an office in Idaho, two men clash over the terms of a loan. A Case for the Existence of God runs from April 12 - May 15, 2022.

Dominique Morrisseau's Confederates will receive its New York premiere at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre. Directed by Kamilah Forbes, the two-man play sees two Black woman; a Union spy and a professor, explore the impact of gender bias in the American schooling system. Confederates runs from February 22 - Mar. 27, 2022.
