2024 Tony Awards performances announced
Numbers from eight musicals, each nominated for Best Musical or Best Musical Revival, will be staged at the June 16 ceremony at the David H. Koch Theater.
UPDATE: In addition to the previously announced Tony Awards performances, there will also be a performance from Best Play nominee Stereophonic.
Performances have been announced for the 2024 Tony Awards, in which the casts of eight nominated shows will take the stage. The ceremony will be broadcast live nationwide at 8 p.m. ET on June 16.
All five nominees for this year's Best Musical Tony Award will perform. These include Hell's Kitchen, featuring the music of Alicia Keys; Illinoise, featuring the music of Sufjan Stevens; Suffs, about the women's suffrage movement; The Outsiders; and Water for Elephants, both based on bestselling novels.
The three nominees for Best Musical Revival will also perform: Cabaret, Merrily We Roll Along, and The Who's Tommy, featuring music from The Who.
Many of these shows' performers are also individually nominated for Tony Awards, including Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin for Cabaret; Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe, and Lindsay Mendez for Merrily; Nikki M. James and Shaina Taub of Suffs; and Joshua Boone, Brody Grant, and Sky Lakota-Lynch of The Outsiders.
