Caroline Aaron, Matt Doyle to star in 'Conversations With Mother' off Broadway

The new comedy play by Matthew Lombardo will play a strictly limited three-month engagement at Theater 555, beginning in February and running through May.

Screen Actors Guild Award winner Caroline Aaron and Tony winner Matt Doyle will star in a new Off-Broadway play titled Conversations With Mother, playing at Theater 555 from February 7 to May 7 only. Opening night is February 23.

Aaron recently received acclaim for her performance as Shirley Maisel on the Emmy-winning Amazon Prime series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She has had a prolific career in TV, film, and theatre, with select other screen credits including Ghosts, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Desperate Housewives, Modern Family, and Law and Order.

Doyle won the 2022 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, plus Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards, for the latest Broadway revival of Company. His other Broadway credits include The Book of Mormon, *Spring Awakening, and War Horse, plus Little Shop of Horrors off Broadway.

In Conversations With Mother, Matthew Lombardo's semi-autobiographical comedy, they respectively play overbearing Italian mother Maria Collavechio and her gay son, Bobby. Over the course of 50 years, their lifelong bond is tested countless times.

Noah Himmelstein directs. Additional creative team members have yet to be announced.
