Comedian Dave Chappelle to make Broadway debut at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre
Dave Chappelle will play the Broadway venue from July 9 through July 13, 2019.
Following the previous announcements of those set to appear on stage at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre this summer as part of the 2019 In Residence on Broadway series, it has now been announced that Dave Chappelle will make his Broadway debut next month.
Chappelle will play the Broadway venue for five performances from July 9 to July 13, where he will perform his unique style of comedy.
A multi-award-winning comedian, Chappelle has two Emmy Awards for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" and for his special "Dave Chappelle: Equanimity," respectively, and Grammy Awards for "Best Comedy Album" in 2018 and 2019. He has also released four Netflix specials: "The Art of Spin," "Deep in the Heart of Texas," "Equanimity," and "The Bird Revelations."
Other acts to perform at the Lunt-Fontanne this summer include comedy legend Mel Brooks (June 17 and 18), Regina Spektor (June 20 to June 26), Criss Angel (July 2 to July 7), and Barry Manilow (July 26 to August 17).
