Drama Desk Awards 2020 to be presented on NY1

The winners of The 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be announced during Spectrum News NY1's "On Stage" on Sunday, May 31, at 7:30pm.

The Drama Desk has now officially partnered with television channel NY1 and the winners of The 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be announced during Spectrum News NY1's "On Stage" program, set to air on Sunday, May 31, at 7:30pm (ET). In addition, the special presentation, which replaces the traditional ceremony at The Town Hall due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, will also be streamed on NY1.com and DramaDeskAwards.com.

The 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards are dedicated to the memory of former Drama Desk president William Wolf.

The Drama Desk was founded in 1949 to explore key issues in the theater and to bring together critics and writers in an organization to support the ongoing development of theater in New York. The organization began presenting its awards in 1955, and it is the only critics' organization to honor achievement in the theater with competition among Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway productions in the same categories.
